This Sonoran desert landscape features two native saguaro cacti silhouetted by a magnificent desert sunset. The giant saguaro is the universal symbol of the American west and can live to be 100-200 years old. When I photographed the two cacti for this painting it reminded me of two cowboys traveling the open desert.
